I've had two of these. I bought the first to replace a am/fm Ferguson clock radio that had given over twenty years faultless service.
The idea was to up grade to DAB and on paper this was the natural replacement for the am/fm model and at first it gave perfect service, doing all that was asked of it. But after six months reception started to give distortion (sounded like a cartoon sound effect for a radio under water). On asking around the consensus was it needs a roof aerial. Then the clock started to play up showing totally the wrong time that bore no relation to the real time, and the alarm would turn the radio on at all sorts of times of the day but not when it was programed to do so. So this one was returned under warranty and was exchanged without quibble; that was suspicious, suggests it wasn't the first they'd had returned. The replacement was set up and like the first worked perfectly for a few months but like the first started to sound like it was under water. Then we had a number of power cuts in the area. Builders cutting the mains cable with their JCB. After one of these the DAB failed and only the FM would work then after another power outage everything failed to work once the power was back. Now it's totally dead, nothing in it shows any sign of ever working ever again.
